Welcome to Carousel Childcare Center, LLC! We are a privately owned and operated licensed childcare facility located in San Antonio, Texas. Our center operates within the minimum standards set by the Texas Health & Human Services Department, Child Care Licensing Division. As the only vegan and cruelty-free childcare facility in San Antonio, we prioritize meeting every child’s nutritional needs while promoting a compassionate lifestyle.

At Carousel, we foster a culture of respect and compassion, treating children with manners and kindness while teaching them to do the same. Our positive guidance techniques create a healthy haven for your child, complemented by competitive pricing. We utilize Brightwheel, a parent-teacher communication app, to keep you connected with your child’s caregivers and stay updated with photos and messages throughout the day.

For over 22 years, Carousel’s owner and director, Ms. Julie, has been dedicated to the care of hundreds of children from families across San Antonio. Our center has become a second home to many, with generations of families entrusting their little ones to our care. Witnessing the growth and development of children over the years has been a rewarding experience, with Ms. Julie seeing her first 2nd generation off to kindergarten just last year.

Beyond childcare, Carousel stands for values that extend to our choices. In 2019, we became San Antonio’s only vegan and cruelty-free learning center. Ms. Julie’s passion for all living things inspired this transformation, driven by a desire to create a healthier world for the children in our care. Our meals are carefully prepared, free from the harmful practices associated with the meat and dairy industry.

As a center, we celebrate diversity and inclusivity. We do not observe traditional holidays or birthdays, choosing instead to focus on seasonal and Earth-related decorations aligned with our monthly interactive themes. This approach allows all children to participate comfortably in all activities, regardless of their background or beliefs.
